Food drives are especially helpful to Loudoun Interfaith Relief. If you are a school, school PTA, scout troop, church group, or civic organization, we will be glad to help you organize the food drive you are planning. In general, some of the items we are always thankful to receive are:

Wish List

Walking CanCanned fruits

Juice (100% fruit juice)

Cereal

Chef Boyardee Products

Please contact Loudoun Interfaith Relief, to make arrangements for us to help unload the items you collected at (703) 777-5911.

We will also be glad to provide you with a tax receipt.

Food drives are particularly appreciated in the summer months!

Lemonade StandTips to Host a Food Drive

Food Drives are vital sources of non-perishable food for Loudoun Interfaith Relief’s Distribution Center. Were it not for the generosity of the community during these drives, our mission to feed the hungry would be much more difficult. The food raised through food drives ensures that we are able to continue to serve our families well balanced, nutritious meals.

Food drives can be held at any time of year, in almost any place by any person. For a young person—when you are thinking of a summar activity—why not consider a lemonade stand, but instead of money ask for a canned food item. Or, organize your friends in your neighborhood to host a food drive. Your theme could be: Kids Helping Kids. Then, simply leave a bag with the wish list attached and include a date to pick up items and you are set to go!

Please make sure to contact us before beginning your food drive. We like to know the name of the group or organization collecting donations on our behalf and we would like the opportunity to share any requests for the collection of certain foods that may be in short supply. By contacting us ahead of time, it will also allow for us to coordinate the delivery of your items and ensure that we will have staff on hand to help you unload. Please contact Duffy Sanchez at (703) 777-5911 or by e-mail.
