COMMUNITY EVENTS TO BENEFIT LOUDOUN INTERFAITH RELIEF
Loudoun Interfaith Relief is very grateful for the continued support we have received through the years from the following organizations. These groups are conducting fundraising events to help us help the hungry this fall! These organizations have donated hours upon hours of their time and raised significant funds to support our mission.
If you are interested in participating in any of these events – please contact us! We would love to see you there!

Lunch for All and All for Lunch
Come and enjoy lunch at The Wine Kitchen located at 7 S. King Street in Historic Downtown Leesburg! The Wine Kitchen has generously agreed to support Loudoun Interfaith Relief by donating 3% of their lunch proceeds to help feed the hungry in Loudoun County. According to the owners of the Wine Kitchen – “Our Lunch for All missions is part of our effort to support and give back to our community. The Wine Kitchen currently donates a portion of all our weekday lunch proceeds to Loudoun Interfaith Relief to help support their mission of "Food for today. Hope for Tomorrow." While our monetary donations help, Loudoun Interfaith' s life blood is food donations from the community, so we also encourage anyone to donate any prepackaged foods to Loudoun Interfaith Relief.”

CROP Hunger Walk
Sunday, October 24, 2010
Purceville Train Station
8:30 a.m.
The CROP Hunger Walk is communities responding to overcome poverty in an annual event that combines fun and fundraising to raise money for hungry people throughout the world.
Hungry people in developing countries typically walk as much as 10 kilometers each day to get food, water, and fuel, and to take their goods to market. CROP Hunger Walk provides us an opportunity to WALK WITH THE WORLD. We walk to be in solidarity with their struggle for existence. We walk to make a difference.
The CROP Hunger Walk in Western Loudoun will take place on Sunday, October 24, 2010. Walkers will leave from the Purcellville Train Station at 8:30 a.m.
The committee that manages the walk has raised about $15,000 through the years to support LIR and it commitment to combat hunger in our back yard.
Please contact Barbara Jarvis at 540-338-1362 to register for the walk or organize a group to walk. Packets of information are also available in order to learn more about hunger at home and throughout the world. This information could be used by Youth groups, scouts or students.
